Bette Midler On Falling In Love With The Theater: “I just fell in love with the theatre when I was 16. And I thought that if I had to have a career in the theatre the way to do it was to get a job on the Now York stage. I mean they don’t have much theatre in Chicago or Cleveland. See, I figured it was the only place to go so I came.
