Mister D: Bette Midler saw the Neville Brothers, circa 1980, perform in New Orleans and loved them. She made a few phone calls to some music labels and was instrumental in getting them their record deal at A&M Records.
Aaron Neville dedicated the perfect song to her with the perfect lyrics on the album. The sound is a little distorted on here, but the beauty of the recording shines through.
