  1. Love you BootlegBette.. wouldn’t miss a chance iof catching your oerformance..if your anywhere near.. Tamoa Bay! You’re one amazing. Entertsiner.. I’ve Been a fan for soo mannny yrs. And hopefully many more to come!Keep belting it out there ..you devine Ms M!??

  2. Wow, Don! I know this song…but never heard Bette sing it! And I didn’t know she sang “When A Man Loves A Woman” prior to THE ROSE.

Do you have her CLAMS set list?

    1. Yep, I did. I still remember her coming out to sing it in Clams. It was after the big opening where the natives pull her out of the sea in the giant shell. The chorus at the end gave her a chance to go change and she came out and sang that medley on a stark stage with the curtains closed and just a spotlight. I was so excited I was on the edge of my seat the whole show. MY MOM took me. I was 17. And we had so much fun. I thought my mom was going to have a heart attack during Higher and Higher. She was squeezing my arm the whole time because Bette was manic on top of that spinning jukebox, at once hanging over the edge. My mom was sure she was going to fall off and kill herself. I also remember my mom trying to cover my ears during the Soph jokes…lol
