From my slambest best m8te, Ron. No Need To Alter. Release Dates for Prime Video. DVD, and Blu-Ray
Hi Mister D!
The Quick update: The
Quick update: The Fabulous Four will start streaming tomorrow August,18, 2024 (Tuesday). Amazon Prime Video will start streaming it tonight (Monday) at 9 p.m. PDT for those in the West, as its official time is midnight EST. I thought it odd that Amazon listed the movie for pre-order streaming on its theatrical release date of July 26, with a “date to be announced soon”, but I wasn’t quite expecting only 24 hours’ notice. From what I can glean it is a purchase download at $24.99, which is a bit high for a new release that would stream only as a pay-per-view (they usually start at $19.99 or less)–so if I am correct, once you pay to see the movie, you also get to keep it. You’re not just paying to see the movie once. Also, Amazon has put back up the DVD pre-order for the movie, sticking with their original release date of September 10. That includes Blu-Ray.
If you order the movie from Amazon for streaming, the options are either SD (standard definition), HD (high definition), or UHD (ultra-high definition). Prices are the same. Amazon will know if your television is compatible with the format selected. In other words, it may say something like “your television does not support Ultra High Definition” to help people select the right feed.
Moviefone has also listed the streaming date to be 8/13, but asides from Apple+, I’m not sure what other services are providing the movie. So far, Netflix hasn’t listed the movie yet, but they could come Tuesday. I’ll check tomorrow with the other streaming services and see if it’s available as a pay-per-view at (hopefully) a lower price.
This is probably the fastest I’ve ever seen a theatrical release movie arrive on streaming (2-1/2 weeks after its release date), as well as DVD (six weeks after its release date). It’s quite simply, unheard of. However, at same point it is worth a discussion as to what went wrong with the release of this movie. To say that it “bombed” at the box office, and I hate to really put it in those terms, is an understatement. Even Blake Lively’s movie, and she is mostly known as a television actress on Gossip Girl, grossed $50 million this opening weekend. Huh?
All the best!

Mister D: Kudos to MS. Lively….or should I say MS. (Ryan) Reynolds!!!! Tah Dah!!!
As usual, thank you to Mr RJG. my crisis correspondent, He’s so smooth in his messages. They never fail to DLITE, if you catch my drifteroo. Yes, I love him. Back off, Bitches!
ooops. I might have made a typo. So sorry, the streaming date is August 12/13, 2024 (not September). My apologies.
LMAO
Well, this movie is from and independent company, you can’t compare it to Deadpool and whatever was out…
You’ll see it will do much better on streaming…
Tks guys
Xoxo
Per Moviefone, the movie is available for streaming on Google Play Movies, YouTube Movies, and Spectrum on Demand, in addition to Amazon Prime Video. There is a $19.99 rental option available, as well as the $24.99 purchase option.
And yes, totally agree with Cris. This movie should do much better on streaming. Oddly, the movie opened in theaters the first day of the Paris Olympics and became available for streaming the day after the Paris Olympics ended. Oh, my. Let’s hope it gets a gold medal from the rent, purchasing and streaming platforms!
