Bette Midler’s Hulaween 2026 was the New York Restoration Project’s annual Halloween gala. It occurred October 23, 2026, at The Glasshouse, New York City.

Bette Midler founded NYRP, which focuses on creating and restoring green spaces, parks, community gardens, and tree planting.

Hulaween is its signature fall fundraising event, featuring costumes, entertainment, and philanthropy.

Moreover, this edition transformed the venue into a haunting underwater world with sea-creature decor, cocktails, and performances.

Key details: Honorees are NYRP trustees Sophie von Haselberg (Midler’s daughter, then 39) and her husband Harry Guinness. They received the Wind Beneath My Wings Award for their leadership and support of the organization. Emcee: Mario Cantone. Performers included Cyndi Lauper, Jessica Vosk, Sydney James Harcourt, Will Lee, and The Root System. Additional elements included House of Yes performers and a DJ set by Boyyyish. A costume contest was judged by Isaac Mizrahi and Rachel Antonoff. Event co-chairs included Candice Bergen, Matthew Broderick, Danny DeVito, Jonah Hill, Julianne Moore, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kristen Wiig. Major sponsors included Bloomberg Philanthropies, Andy Cohen, Michael Kors, and Lance Le Pere. Bette Midler and Martin von Haselberg were listed among sponsors. What happened / highlights: Bette Midler attended with her daughter Sophie. Additionally, both wore theme-appropriate costumes. Midler appeared in a glamorous gold and champagne gown with a flowing cape. She wore long red gloves, a starfish-and-shell neckpiece, and a red fascinator-style hat with netting and accents. Sophie’s look incorporated ocean debris under a gold mesh overlay with starfish. Her green face makeup supported the ‘monsters of the deep’ idea with an environmental edge.

Additionally, Cyndi Lauper, with Bette Midler, wore a black suit with a white wig and a black eye mask.

The night featured the usual mix of over-the-top costumes, live music, and fundraising for NYRP’s greening work.

Additionally, coverage highlighted celebrity attendees, mother-daughter looks, and the festive underwater theme.

Bette Midler helped continue Hulaween’s long tradition as New York’s prominent costume gala for urban nature access.

Note: This is distinct from the separate Suwannee Hulaween music festival held October 22–25, 2026.

Additionally, the festival takes place in Live Oak, Florida.
