Midler on first local tour in 25yrs

US entertainer Bette Midler will start her first Australian tour in more than 25 years in Brisbane next month.
The Divine Miss M’s Kiss My Brass concert tour opens at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on April 8 and promoters today announced a second Brisbane show on April 10.
Midler, whose show involves a 12 piece band and includes more than 40 songs, comedy sketches and costume changes, will also perform in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
The winner of four Grammy awards, four Golden Globes and three Emmys, Midler last performed in Australia in 1979.
