New roles for Warhol alums

Colleen Russell Criste has become senior vice president of external affairs of New York Restoration Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York City parks, community gardens and open space. It was founded by actress and songstress Bette Midler in 1995. Ms. Criste left her position of deputy director of The Andy Warhol Museum in 2008 to become deputy director for external affairs for the International Center of Photography, New York.
John Smith is the new director of the Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Providence. Mr. Smith was director of the Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Art prior to his appointment, and before that was assistant director for collections, exhibitions and research at the Warhol.
