Midler plays Winifred ‘Winnie’ Sanderson in this 1993 comedy horror fantasy film.   2. I love “Divine Madness,” too but it’s a concert film and Bette isn’t playing a character — other than those that are a part of that particular show. So, that’s why I wouldn’t group it with her movies in which she plays a character. My top five are 5. The Stepford Wives 4. Outrageous Fortune 3. The First Wives Club 2. Hocus Pocus 1. The Rose (which, as you know, I consider the greatest female performance ever captured on film).
