Video: AI researchers make SCARY Halloween-themed ‘deepfakes’ video of Donald Trump as Winnifred Anderson
By using 3,000 photos of Donald Trump and working in collaboration with deepfakes expert
“Deepfakes technology is getting better and better at faking the content, but researchers are also coming up with new ways to ‘detect’ fakes. So I don’t think there will ever be a time (at least in [the] near future) where somebody will create a deepfakes video where nobody detects that it is [a] forgery.”

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimi reflect on Hocus Pocus 25 years later
MAUREEN LEE LENKER
October 21, 2018
Mister D: I don’t know what is wrong with me but for a decade I just lost my voice, stopped being irreverant, and just seemed to go through the motions on everything. I’ll try to hold back on here.
This special was so cheesy, only a mouse could have loved it, Or maybe it was just geared to a younger audience which seems more likely. And no, the performance by those 3 girls was not “Iconic” Cute, yes, but Iconic is reserved and will remain the version by Bette Midler. I wish these hacky writers would leave certain words alone that used to mean something special. No, not every female singer and movie star is a diva, If you’re popular on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, you’re not a diva. So quit watering down the words.

Disney’s ‘Hocus Pocus’ Gets Giant Sanderson Sisters Plushies For Halloween
By SEAN FALLON – September 21, 2018
Winifred Sanderson from Disney‘s cult classic film Hocus Pocus isn’t often described as “cuddly”, but this 18-inch plush doll version of her certainly is. The Winifred plush is a Spirit Halloween exclusive that you can order right here along with her sisters Sarah and Mary for $24.99 each.
Winifred wouldn’t admit it, but these plush shouldn’t be purchased individually. The Sanderson Sisters need to stick together. The same is true for Spirit Halloween’s exclusive Hocus Pocus Funko Pop collection…

25 Things We Learned from the ‘Hocus Pocus’ 25th Anniversary Blu-ray
BY DAVE TRUMBORE SEPTEMBER 7, 2018
Hocus Pocus, one of the campiest cult classics ever to be cooked up in a cinematic cauldron, delighted audiences 25 years ago. And as the new anniversary Blu-ray proves, the movie has never lost its magical touch. The story centers on the witchy Sanderson Sisters played uniquely and expertly well by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, who haunt Salem, Massachusetts upon awakening from their 300-year slumber. The only ones who can stop them are, ironically, the ones who woke them up in the first place: teenagers Max (Omri Katz) and Allison (Vinessa Shaw) and Max’s younger sister, Dani (Thora Birch), assisted by a cursed, immortal, talking cat, and a resurrected zombie (Doug Jones). There’s a reason that Freeform plays this flick a bunch of times during their annual 31 Nights of Halloween fest, but now you can pick up a tricked-out copy of your own.
