The American Academy in Rome honored Bette Midler and the Museum of Modern Art at a black tie Gala Tribute Dinner last Wednesday night at the Mandarin Oriental hotel. Ms. Midler was honored for her work in the founding and supporting of the New York Restoration Project. MoMA was honored for its 2005 “Groundswell” exhibition.
