EV’RYBODY WATCHING ABC? Well, maybe they are, but they should have been tuned to NBC the other night for Bette Midler‘s unbelievably adult, raunchy and hilarious TV special. Not since Mae West has there been a performer who can put the fun
into sex like the Divine Miss M.
I especially like her rundown of the three types watching–the first never heard of her, the second asked “isn’t that Bette Midler” and the third were “hardcore fans who know me really well!” Bette had the latter saying, “Pass the brownies, Harry!”
Of course, my mother didn’t get it down in Gonzales, Texas, but then she says she never understands what I’m writing about anyway.
