DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES – Yoko Ono’s eclectic ensemble “We Are Plastic Ono Band” has announced a two-night stand slated for October at the Orpheum Theatre on Broadway.

Under the musical direction of Sean Ono Lennon and backed by Yuka Honda and Japanese pop band Cornelius (Keigo Oyamada, Shimmy Hirotaka Shimizu and Yuko Araki), the band is a sort of revival of the Plastic Ono Band that featured John Lennon and released “Give Peace a Chance.” The group is scheduled to play Oct. 1 and 2.

Promoters promise several special guests. In a show in February in New York, the band played with Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, Thurston Moore and Bette Midler. Presale tickets are on sale now.
