Julie Gold Will Celebrate New CD With Manhattan Concert in May

Songwriter Julie Gold, whose work has been sung or recorded by Patti LuPone, Karen Mason, Carol Woods, Betty Buckley, Elaine Paige, Lea Salonga, Andrea Marcovicci and Kathie Lee Gifford, has recently completed a new CD entitled “Love Is Love Is Love.”
Gold, who also wrote the Bette Midler hit “From A Distance,” will celebrate her new CD with a concert May 2 at 7 PM at the Metropolitan Room. The evening will feature tunes from the new recording as well as old favorites.
Gold will be joined by Emily Bindiger and Margaret Dorn. Bindiger also produced the new CD.
The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street. There is a $15 cover charge and a two-drink minimum; call (212) 206-0440 for reservations.
