  1. Bette Midler’s performance singing “The Rose” was absolutely first class. As good as an operatic performance. Whoever wrote that song thought a lot about what they penned. It’s a very accurate appraisal of so many lives. I identify with it very strongly myself. Everything about the song was perfect including how they structured it. This is meaningful song writing at it’s very best.

  2. This is just another example of how the almighty $ rules the world which we live in. It reminds of me of another topic that effects just about everyone in our country (and around the world) when it comes to agricultural products, plants & procedures.
There are companies such as Monsanto and DuPont who are buying more than half the world’s seed supply and genetically altering the food we eat. These companies are running the “local” organic farmer out of business. Their policy is “our way or the highway” and if you try to stop them, these multi-billion dollar companies will bankrupt you with legal fees so that there is no way of fighting for what is right. No one will stop these companies because they have the means and political assholes in their back pockets!

This goes on and on. How do we the taxpayers, consumers and citizens stop these corrupt bastards??

    1. That’s very true….it seems like I recently saw a movie or documentary on that specific issue….I wish I could remember what it was
