Constantine Maroulis, Cheyenne Jackson and More Will Perform at the 2012 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction

Also set to perform and/or present at the ceremony, which will be held in Times Square at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, areÂ Meat LoafÂ (The Rocky Horror Show, Hair), Dave Grohl, Stevie Nicks, Kenny Rogers, Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris, L.P., Jerry Moss and Take 6.
FantasticksÂ andÂ 110 in the ShadeÂ writersÂ Harvey SchmidtÂ andÂ Tom JonesÂ are being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame alongsideÂ Jim SteinmanÂ (Whistle Down the Wind), Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Seger andÂ Don Schlitz. The inductees were previously announced in February.
Also honored at the event will be Grammy Award winnerÂ Bette MidlerÂ with theÂ Sammy CahnLifetime Achievement Award, singer Ne-Yo with the Hal David Starlight Award and Lance Freed with the Abe Olman Publisher Award; the first-ever Pioneer Award will be posthumously awarded to Woody Guthrie. “Stand By Me” is the Towering Song with co-writer Ben E. King being honored with the Towering Performance Award.
Established in 1969, the Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF) “serves as a vital bridge between music’s past and future. In the Hall, musical pioneers are enshrined and celebrated, while the organization’s music community outreach grooms the next generation of troubadours.”
