Party Hopping And Grocery Shopping
The Time Warner Center hosted every A-list actor from George Clooney to Bette Midler Tuesday night. At the steakhouse “Porter House,” Ben Affleck was hosting a dinner for the premiere of his new film “Argo,” thrown by the Peggy Siegal Company, while Michael Douglas, among others, hosted an event for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences just next door, at Stone Rose Lounge. Floating through the halls of the Midtown shopping mall that evening were Ms. Midler, Affleck pal Matt Damon, Alex Karpovsky, Mr. Clooney and Bryan Cranston. Actors like Mr. Douglas went back and forth between the neighboring parties. Since most of the shopping center doesn’t close until after 10 p.m., some unsuspecting Whole Foods shoppers were caught in the mix of celebrities as they left the building with their bags.
