I know some of us were really hoping HBO would film Bette Midler’s one woman show, I’ll Eat You Last,” so I asked the powers that be and was informed this will not be happening. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But we do have a new CD and tour to look forward to in the near future, 2014!
I know that Miss M was working in Nashville on some material for the album, even composed something. But then there was some talk about a tribute album to the girl groups of the 1960s. So, I’m lost on the album department.
On the tour, I know nothing. I don’t know if she’s going for arena like shows or intimate concerts. I don’t know if Sophie is gone for good, if Delores is put to rest as she should etc. I have no idea on what’s in the works.
With Bette through the 40 years I have followed, I’ve learned to take everything in stride. She may say something one day and then change her mind the next day. She’s always flirted with writing her own material but rarely records it for the public. I asked about the girl group tribute and got a “maybe.” All I know about the tour is that it’s scheduled for 2014…nothing else. I’ll ask more about it closer to the New Year cause plans will be more definite then….xx
