Bette Midler won’t be providing any competition in the 1990 Oscar race. She was expected to provide plenty with “ Stella,” but the drama that finished principal production in June has gone back before the cameras for the reshooting of some scenes and … the Disney folks are now saying “ Stella” won’t be showcased in December as planned, but instead will open wide in January.
