On June 25, musical sensation Bette Midler performed at New York’s Madison Square Garden, and she left the audience in total awe of her tremendous talent. She commenced her set with “Divine Intervention” and followed it up with such sassy vocals as “I Look Good” and “I’ve Still Got My Health.” She took her fans on a trip down memory lane to her early career with “Do You Wanna Dance” and she was superb on “Throw It Away,” prior to covering The Exciters’ “Tell Him.” She sang “Teach Me Tonight” with her three background vocalists while sitting on the iconic Madison Square Garden stage, and went on to deliver an emotional version of the TLC R&B classic “Waterfalls.”

Just when she left her fans in tears, she picked them up with the upbeat and witty “Everybody Knows” and was magical on her “Hocus Pocus” set, where she performed “I Put a Spell on You,” in her witch outfit. “The Divine Miss M,” as Midler is affectionately known as, rocked on The Rolling Stones‘ “Beast of Burden” and was phenomenal on her signature song “The Rose.” Equally fantastic was “From a Distance” and her closing tune “Stay With Me.” For her encore, Midler returned and belted out “Wind Beneath My Wings,” thus leaving her fans breathless and in tears yet again. She closed with Boogie “Woogie Bugle Boy.”

Overall, Bette Midler’s concert at Madison Square Garden was exquisite. She was funny, sincere, naughty and even unfiltered at times, but she interacted well with the crowd throughout the evening. Her live show garnered 5 out of 5 stars. To learn more about Bette Midler and her show dates, be sure to check out her official website.
