BetteBack April 11, 1996: Bette Midler Donates Doodles To The Madison Repertory Theater Auction

Madison Wisconsin State Journal
April 11, 1996

Celebrity hounds will have a chance to take home the inner thoughts – in the form of doodles – of such famous people as Bette Midler and John Travolta on April 26.

The Madison Repertory Theater is hosting a doodle auction at the Concourse Hotel, with cocktails and silent auction at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 8 p.m. Cost is $30 per person. Call 256-0029 by April 22 to make your reservations.

To help people refine their doodle-viewing skills, we’ve put together a two-part quiz to see if you can match the doodle to the appropriate celebrity. Each drawing comes with a set of hints to help you out.

This is part one; look for part two next week.

A random drawing of the correct answers will be taken each week, with the winner receiving two tickets to the Rep’s latest production, “Three Tall Women,” by Edward Albee.

There also will be a grand prize. In a random drawing of winning entries from each of the two weeks, one winner will receive two free season tickets to shows in the Rep’s 1996-97 season
