But the big venues won’t be left out of the action. The Palace of Auburn Hills is lining up a sturdy fall roster that includes Metallica (Oct. 1) and will likely see shows by Bette Midler (Nov. 5) and Cher (Nov. 20), who has apparently decided to turn her farewell tour into an unending good-bye. The Beastie Boys, Avril Lavigne and Green Day are among the notable acts planning fall tours, though Detroit-area dates are not yet set.
