“FOR THE BOYS.” Bette Midler‘s long-awaited, personal project hits the big screen, We’re back in the ’40s with Midler’s Dixie Leonard, and her musicians cheering the boys. Teamed with a song and-dance man named Eddie Sparks (James Caan), she becomes a star. But the fighting isn’t all on the battlefield.
This one is one of the few relatively fresh ideas on the fall agenda. And it will be a treat to hear Midler sing again. Opening in November
