Carole Bayer Sager To Perform at Feinstein’s at the Regency, November 18th, 2003

Mister D: Ms. Sager recorded one of my all time favorite albums (her debut one), which includes her version of “You’re Movin Out Today”, “Steal Away Again” (both co-written with Midler). Bette also performs harmony vocals on “Shy As A Violet”. Awesome record if you ever want to take a chance.

ON NOV. 18, Carole Bayer Sager does a week at Feinstein’s at the Regency. She’ll wear Armani pants, Dolce & Gabbana top. Two shows Friday and Saturday, one Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. “I have to see how I feel, how I do,” she says. “Opening night’s sold out and the end of the week’s full.

“I last performed before my son Chris, who’s now 18, was born. I’m terrified. I have a need to be perfect. I’m so nervous. I keep asking, why am I doing this? I tried it one night in L.A. with an all-invited audience. My husband (Dodgers CEO) Bob Daly and I asked high-profile friends like Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand. I thought, ‘If I get through this, then I’ll do New York.’ ”

She’ll include two of the numbers she wrote with Peter Allen that are not in “The Boy From Oz.” The other nine are. “I’m doing my own stuff, not random songs, but I have trouble singing no matter what. Right now a voice coach comes to my Music Room and gives me voice lessons every other day.”

Although Music Room-less in New York, she is not homeless. She bought David Geffen’s Fifth Avenue pad made of two apartments put together. Charles Gwathmey designed it. Rose Tarlowe furnished it. And somebody stuck in a Screening Room. Feinstein’s or not, you shouldn’t worry for Carole Bayer Sager Bachrach Daly.
