Sarah Silverman has been called “the most outrageously funny woman alive.” From stand-up comedy to film and television, Silverman has seen her share of success. And 2007 has certainly been the year of proof. In January, her show, “The Sarah Silverman Program,” launched on Comedy Central scoring the highest ratings for a new show in 3 years. She has also co-starred in “There’s Something About Mary,” “The Way of The Gun,” Ivan Reitman’s “Evolution,” “The Bachelor,” and “Say It Is’t So.”

Sarah co-starred on the FOX comedy “Greg The Bunny” opposite Eugene Levy. She has also guest starred in a slew of acclaimed and notable television shows such as “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Seinfeld,” and “Mr. Show with Bob and David.” Silverman also lends her voice to the hugely successful Comedy Central show, “Crank Yankers.”

Sarah grew up in New Hampshire and attended New York University. It was around this time that she began to pursue the Manhattan comedy scene and logged as much time in the comedy clubs as she did in the classroom. In 2006, Tony celebrated his 80th birthday on August 3rd that launched an extensive celebration of his life and career. TONY BENNETT: DUETS/An American Classic was released featuring Tony performing his greatest hits side by side with such musical guests as Barbra Streisand, Bono, the Dixie Chicks, Billy Joel, Elton John, k.d. lang, Paul McCartney, Sting, Stevie Wonder and many others. TONY BENNETT: DUETS has become the best selling CD of Tony’s recording career, winning three Grammy Awards. Tony has pursued his passion for the visual arts and is an accomplished painter who has exhibited his work in museums and galleries around the world His original oil painting, “Central Park,” was recently accepted into the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Museum of American Art. A new book of his work, TONY BENNETT IN THE STUDIO: A LIFE OF ART AND MUSIC was recently published.

The son of a grocer and Italian-born immigrant, Anthony Dominick Benedetto was born on August 3, 1926, in the Astoria section of Queens. He attended the High School of Industrial Arts in Manhattan, where he continued nurturing his two passions — singing and painting. Tony sang while waiting tables as a teenager then performed with military bands during his Army enlistment in World War II. Bennett’s big break came in 1949 when comedian Bob Hope noticed him working with Pearl Bailey in Greenwich Village in New York City.

His initial successes came via a string of Columbia singles in the early 1950’s, including such chart-toppers as “Because of You,” “Rags To Riches” and a remake of Hank Williams’ “Cold, Cold Heart.” He had 24 songs in the Top 40, including “I Wanna Be Around,” “The Good Life,” “Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me)” and his signature song, “I Left My Heart In San Francisco,” which garnered him two Grammy Awards. Tony Bennett is one of a handful of artists to have new albums charting in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and beyond. He introduced a multitude of songs into the Great American Songbook that have since become standards for pop music. He has toured the world to sold out audiences with rave reviews whenever he performs.

Tony Bennett is an international treasure and received the United Nations “Citizen of the World” award, which aptly describes the scope of his accomplishments.
