Costume Designer Guild Award Winners Announced

The winners of the 13th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards were announced today at a star-studded gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The Guild, along with presenting sponsor Lacoste, handed out competitive awards for costume design excellence in seven categories including films, television and commercials.
In addition, five honorary awards were presented at the Awards Gala: This year, the Guild honored Halle Berry, Academy Award-winning actress and Golden Globe nominee for Frankie and Alice, with the newly titled Lacoste Spotlight Award. Berry was presented the award by Samuel L. Jackson. Two-time Oscar nominee and multiple Emmy winning costume designer Julie Weiss was given the Disaronno Career Achievement in Film and Television Award. A montage highlighting her extraordinary career was introduced by designer favorites Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, and the award was presented by Robert Duvall, Billy Bob Thornton and Diane Lane.
The Distinguished Collaborator Award was presented to famed director, Joel Schumacher by Bill Maher. Beloved costume designer Michael Dennison was inducted posthumously into the Guild’s Hall of Fame for his work on television and feature films such as Eat Pray Love (2010) and Georgia O’Keefe (2009).
The event was hosted by actress, Kristin Davis. Presenters such as, Kellan Lutz, Ginnifer Goodwin and Claire Danes were escorted to the gala in stylish and luxurious Audi sedans. Attendees also included: Matt Bomer, Lisa Edelstein, Bill Paxton, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Sarah Hyland, Brittany Robertson, Matt Lauria, Isaiah Mustafa, Beau Garrett, Melora Hardin, Bette Midler, Kathy Griffin, Jamie Bamber, Elizabeth Berkley, Angela Landsbury, Roma Maffia, Jacqueline Mazarella, and Holland Taylor.
