  1. I just wanted to throw in that I have also donated money to the Arbor Day Foundation, and they are a wonderful organization. For your donation, they will send you two trees for you to plant at home (small, and plant them fast, but they make sure they are native to your geographical area!), and also provide you with gardening tips, a booklet on trees, and other environmental materials. You can also make a donation for them to plant trees “in remembrance”, and for $10 they will plant 10 trees in honor of someone you love, in a National Forest, and you get a certificate with the person’s name on it. If you’re strapped for cash, and want to make a nice impact on the environment, I find the latter to be a great gift idea.

I’m really proud of Bette for recognizing the Arbor Day Foundation as well as her own. It truly shows her heart and commitment to the environment is unselfish and unwavering.
