There’s the Golden Globe Awards, the People’s Choice Awards and the Cannes Film Festival, but the biggy of them all aires April 14 — the Academ> Awards.

Highlights of this 52nd annual presentation will be few. Although there was all that talk about Hoffman in “Kramer vs Kramer,” 1979 was no banner year for Hollywood All that the public got last year was an ample dose of Hollywood hype and a Small dose of entertainment.

Like every other manufactured American product. Hollywood films have plummeted to new depths of mediocrity The only thing that’s gone up. regarding the movies. has been the ticket prices.

Be that as it may, the contest will go on and winners will be chosen
