As an Amazon Prime member, I received an e-mail today from Amazon, offering to donate .5% of all my qualifying Amazon purchases to the charity of my choice. I entered in New York Restoration Project, and received an e-mail stating that Amazon would reach out to NYRP and see if they are accepting donations.
NYRP typically likes to start out with $100 donations, so I don’t know how viable an opportunity this is to donate, but if enough people sign up, perhaps Amazon can pool the money and provide NYRP with donations that are substantial. If anything, perhaps Amazon could add them to their list of preferred charities.
Just thought I’d mention it, as I’m all for donating to NYRP as best I can, if not in spirit, too.
I had no idea Amazon did that. I’m a prime member too. Will look into it.
