Stars React To Death Of Joe Cocker

Stars are remembering famed British singer Joe Cocker, who died on Monday at 70. The Grammy and Oscar-winning musician died of lung cancer after a decades-long career in music.
Cocker’s cover performance of “With A Little Help From My Friends” was an iconic moment at Woodstock, and his rendition of the Beatles’ song later served as the theme for “The Wonder Years.” He later won a Grammy and an Oscar for Best Original Song for “Up Where We Belong,” his duet with Jennifer Warnes, which was recorded for the Richard Gere-Debra Winger film An Officer and a Gentleman soundtrack. Cocker was also named one of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time by Rolling Stone in 1998.
Now fellow musicians, celebrities, and media personalities are taking to social media to pay tribute Cocker, making “RIP Joe” a trending topic on Twitter. Steven Tyler wrote, “WE LOVED YOU FOREVER, WE WILL MISS YOU ALWAYS”¦RIP JOE COCKER.” Evan Rachel Wood added, “Song of the day ”˜With a little help from my friends’ #joecocker.” Meanwhile, Scott Foley tweeted, “So many memories tied to the music of Joe Cocker. Thank you. Rest in peace.”
Bette Midler noted, “Goodbye to Joe Cocker. There was never anyone like him, and there never will be again. The one of the Sounds of an Era passes.” Martha Plimpton said, “Oh, no. Rest in Peace, Joe Cocker.” Judd Apatow tweeted, “Woodstock performance was as badass as it gets.”
Hugh Laurie expressed, “Oh god. Joe Cocker. The world now feels like a two-legged table.” Josh Groban added, “RIP Joe Cocker”¦.one of my favorite voices ever.” Garret Dillahunt simply stated, “Aw sh*t. #JoeCocker.
