On the recent Third An»nual~ American Comedy . Awards, Robin Williams and ‘Bette Midler won the funpalest performers in movies, ‘for the third time, which makes them the only winners in this category since it vbegan. Roseanne Barr was .the decided favorite of the ^evening. She was the only ”¢”performer to win two ”a’wards, one for funniest -female lead in a TV series ”¢and another for best female ^Stand-up comic. Roseanne‘s :’TO-star, John Goodman, ”picked up the funniest male ”¢lead in a TV series award.
An interesting note – GoodJman is currently filming the “movie Stella which stars .:Bette Midler. Now, someone -should come up with a
/screenplay for Williams and IBarr, or better yet, one for ”¢the quartet of stars. How’s that for a box office dream?
