Mister D: I read an article, and it may be on this site, that Bette was first choice to play Mrs. Bernie Madoff which has now gone to Michelle Pfeiffer. This isn’t the first time Michelle has stepped in for Bette Midler. The lady who inspired the story Dangerous Minds wanted Bette Midler to play her in the movie, but the producers thought otherwise.
Wizard Of Lies is the story of Bernie Madoff and his Ponzi scheme. It will be a film for HBO in 2016.
