More Artists Added To David Bowie Tribute Concerts In NYC

As reported, impresario Michael Dorf has put together a pair of tributes to David Bowie that will be held at NYC’s Carnegie Hall on March 31 and Radio City Music Hall on April 1. Today, a number of acts have been added to the events’ already impressive lineups.
The March 31st concert will feature Bette Midler, Debbie Harry, Pixies, Laurie Anderson, Holy Holy, Michael Stipe, The Roots, Perry Farrell, Cyndi Lauper, Bettye Lavette, Ann Wilson, Jakob Dylan, The Mountain Goats, Robyn Hitchcock and Cat Power.
The April 1st concert will feature Mumford & Sons, Blondie, Pixies, Michael Stipe, Bette Midler, Jherek Bischoff w/ Amanda, Palmer & Anna Calvi, Ann Wilson, The Roots, The Polyphonic Spree, Perry Farrell, Jakob Dylan, Holy Holy, Cat Power and Donny McCaslin Group (withMark Guiliana, Jason Linder and Tony Visconti).
Tickets for both shows sold out quickly. Proceeds from the shows will benefit organizations such as Young Audiences New York, Little Kids Rock, Church Street School of Music, the Center for Arts Education, the American Symphony Orchestra and Grammy In The Schools.
