Bette Midler is slated to play the late best-selling trashy novelist Jacqueline Susann (Valley of the Dolls) in “Isn’t She Great.” The film, based on an article by Susann’s former editor Michael Korda, also will star Nathan Lane as her husband and manager, Irving Mansfield.
