Singer Bette Midler seems to be making enemies at a fast clip these days.

Last year she ridiculed Cher, who was experiencing the biggest hit of her career.

Then Midler closed the year with some jabs at fellow diva Barbra Streisand during her New Year’s Eve show in Vegas. She had a Streisand impersonator saunter onto the stage near midnight. Acting stunned, Midler queried, “Barbra, what are you doing here?”

The Streisand look-alike responded, “I wanted to be with my husband at midnight.”

Midler asked, “He’s at my show?”

The fake Babs replied, “Well, he couldn’t afford mine.”

The barbs didn’t stop there. A couple arrived late to the show and Midler stopped her act to tease them. “You’re late. Where were you – at Barbra’s? Couldn’t stand more than an hour, eh?”

In response, a Streisand friend says Babs sees nothing divine about The Divine Miss M.
