Bette Midler Hello, Dolly! Cast Recording Will Be Released On Vinyl

The vinyl edition from Masterworks Broadway will feature 20 pages of photos and liner notes.
The current revival of Hello, Dolly!, starring Bette Midler in her Tony-winning Broadway return, will release its cast album on vinyl November 17.
The Masterworks Broadway release will feature a gate-fold package and a 20-page book featuring production photos, lyrics, and liner notes.
The album will feature cover art that pays even more homage to the 1964 Broadway cast album than the CD release did, returning to the original color scheme.
The vinyl release is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.
The recording features 16 songs, including “Penny In My Pocket,” a song restored for this production after being cut during the original pre-Broadway tryout. Jerry Herman‘s Tony-winning score is heard here in a new orchestration by Larry Hochman.
The vinyl release of Hello, Dolly!‘s cast album will stand alongside several other recent Broadway vinyl releases, including Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
The production, which opened April 2017, won four 2017 Tony Awards: Best Revival, Actress in a Leading Role (Midler), Actor in a Featured Role (Gavin Creel), and Costume Design (Santo Loquasto).
