Bette Midler’s and The New York Restoration Project’s as they celebrate their 25th anniversary and hold their annual Hulaween Ball is to be held Oct 29, 2021 beginning at 7:00 PM. The event this year is called Boogie Frights Hulaween which can only mean we’re heading back to the 70’s so put on your dancing shoes. The New York Times calls it the“most fashionable, talked-about and dress-to-impress” party in NYC. Guests participating will be singer Gloria Gaynor (I Will Survive), your host, the hilarious Mario Cantone, costume judge, fashion designer, Michael Kors, and Thorgy Thor of Rupaul’s Drag Race will be the Red Carpet Correspondent, posting behind the scenes footage directly to our Instagram throughout the evening. I found out from Bette Midler’s people that the Bette Midler Fan Mail is not going to be re-opened. Most people just don’t write anymore for anything. It makes sense when you find most people don’t read past a headline. So writing must be a real chore. So, I’m sorry to those who do write, and just keep it up for anything. I guess I’m just sad, but it will blow ever. Now we also know that minds are changed very easily. I’m like that. And that’s one aspect of Miss M’s creative process. The one story I have is Bette didn’t like something somewhere in Kiss My Brass, and supposedly she tried out 8 different versions, and finally, what ended up in KMB was the original idea, the first. So just like they closed the web site twice, who knows, with Hocus Pocus 2 and the Kennedy City Honors, the First Wive’s reunion, it just might open again.
