‘Hocus Pocus:’ Where are they now?

When Bette Midler starred as Winifred Sanderson in the 1993 Halloween film “Hocus Pocus,” she already had a very well established acting and music career. Following the film, her success continued and she starred in many movies including, “First Wives Club,” “The Stepford Wives” and “The Women.” Most recently, Bette released a new album in 2014 called “It’s the Girls!” and went on a world tour in 2015 called, the “Devine Intervention Tour” to promote the album.
Omri Katz achieved teenage heartthrob status as Max, the protagonist of the film. Since “Hocus Pocus” Omri hasn’t done much acting. Most notably, he appeared in “The John Larroquette Show” from 1994- 1995. He also appeared in an episode of “Freaks and Geeks” in 1999 and an episode of “General Hospital” in 2000. Most recently, he appeared in the short film “Journey into Night” in 2002.
Thora Birch played the cute and spunky little sister of Max, Dani. She starred in the Hollywood hit “American Beauty” in 1999, as well as some smaller films including the horror movie “Deadline” in 2009 and the comedy “Petunia” in 2012. Most recently she appeared on the sci-fi TV show “Colony.”
