SANTA MONICA, Calif. ( A P) – A $3 million damage suit and a request for an injunction have been filed against entertainer Bette Midler and the p r o d u c t i on c o m p a ny f i l m i ng her concert movieDivine Madness” just six days before shooting was to begin.

Three backup singers who appeared as The Harlettes in the Broadway version of the show claim they were improperly fired from the f i l m. In a Superior Court suit filed Jan. 31.

L i n da H a r t, F r a n ny Eisenberg and Paulette McWi l l i ams accuse Miss Midler of persuading Alan Ladd Jr. Productions to fire them. The suit asks for an injunction b a r r i ng f i l m i ng of “Divine Madness” without participation of the women.

Miss Midler’s publ i c i st and agent declined to comment.
