Bette Midler, the actress, singer, author and comic known by her
fans as the Divine Miss M, has given birth to a girl, her publicist said
“Everybody is doing great,” said Victoria Rose. The 8-pound
11-ounce girl was born Friday at 8:45 p.m. at an undisclosed Los
Angeles-area hospital, and Miss Midler was in good condition, the
