Beautiful ballad by Tom Waites from the Francis Ford Coppolla movie, One From The Heart.
Bette Midler was supposed to record this soundtrack with Waites, but alas, something came up with Bette and she couldn’t do it. She was replaced by Crystal Gayle. The songs are top notch Waites; I always try to imagine how they would have sounded under Bette. This isn’t to criticize Crystal Gayle. She did a wonderful job and showed she could stray away from the country label she was boxed into. Don
