Happy 67th Birthday to divine Bette Midler!

She’s still so damned divine and I’ll love her forever.
She is, of course, Bette Midler and today is her 67th birthday.
Miss Midler has a new movie coming out this month called Parental Guidance opposite Billy Crystal and I hope it is a big hit!
I’ve always wanted to see Bette is more movies but she’s the kind of star who has so many options like concert tours, Las Vegas and recording that movies sometimes go on the back burner.
But she’s made plenty over the years with Oscar-nominated performances in The Rose and For the Boys and such popular hits as Beaches, Ruthless People, Big Business, Outrageous Fortune and Hocus Pocus.
She also soared and was robbed of an Emmy for her performance as Mama Rose in the 2003 television remake of Gypsy.
One of my favorite Midler performances came in a small movie in 2007 called Then She Found Me in which she played Helen Hunt’s long-lost mother.
