”¢ Bette Midler, the actress, singer, author and comic known by her fans as the Divine Miss M, has given birth to a daughter, her publicist said Monday. “Everybody is doing great,” said Victoria Rose.
The 8-pound 11-ounce girl was born at 8:45 Friday at an undisclosed Los Angeles-area hospital, Rose said. The baby, still unnamed as of Monday, was due Oct. 27. Midler, 40, married Martin von Haselberg, a performance artist and commodities trader in December 1984. It is the couple’s first child.
