Legendary actress Bette Midler knows how to throw shade just as well as the best of them.

The 70-year-old was back on Twitter on Friday afternoon to make a gentle dig at Kim Kardashian and her world famous rear.

Referring to her charity, which provides money for the upkeep of auditoriums in public schools for children who are interested in performing, she said she wanted the reality star to donate.

She tweeted: “I wanted @KimKardashian to donate to #StagesForSuccess; she’s a brilliant businesswoman. I know this because her “back-end” is enormous!”

Bette had previously asked Kim to donate following their Twitter spat over Kim’s nude selfie.

After seeing the selfie, Bette responded with: “Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.”

Mum-of-two Kim later responded, writing: “hey @ BetteMidler I know it’s past your bedtime but if you’re still up and reading this send nudes # justkidding.”

She then had another pop at the star: “hey @ BetteMidler I really didn’t want to bring up how you sent me a gift a while back trying to be a fake friend then come at me # dejavu.”

“I never tried to fake friend you. Looks like anyone can take a selfie but not everyone can take a joke…” Bette wrote back.

The singer then tried to gloss over the rift by suggesting they join forces to raise money for her charity.

She tweeted: “@KimKardashian Put your selfie to work”¦for a good cause! Donate, RT, I’ll match $$ 2-1.”

Bette’s charity goal is to raise $150,000 for the Stages for Success: An initiative of Bette Midler and The Jeckyl Foundation.

She previously explained that the new project is “a fantastic performing arts high school where the auditorium needs a major overhaul.”
