Here are the top-selling albums of eligibility period (October 1, 2014 ”“ September 30, 2015) for the next Grammys.

Sales = Copies sold in US since its release

MC = Metacritic score (scores listed in bold received Universal Acclaim, or a score of 81 or higher)
Release = US release date (all dates from October to December are from 2014, and all from January to September are from 2015)

Hot 100 hits = Songs from the album that have charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Note: not all songs are eligible for Grammys, i.e. Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” or Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass.” Songs in bold were Top 10 hits, while songs listed in smaller typeface charted below #40.

For the eligibility period for the Grammy’s Bette had the 36th highest selling album at 292,000 copies sold and a good metacritic score of 72.

It looks really good that It’s The Girls will be nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal album of the year. We’ll see. Nominations will be announced on December 7, 2015.

  1. Hummm….wow, too many numbers for na award, dude…LOL. All I know is that I’ve been playing this álbum since I got it almost a year ago everyday and it sure is uplifting while riding my bike, particulary 😛 If she gets anything, great for her, if she doesn’t…Whatever…Still would be cool if she performed, cause any chance to see her perform is precious, even if it is boring old Grammy’s….She could bring some real stage energy to that yearly funeral…Ooops…:-P

  2. Bit of a longshot here, but would also like to see “Waterfalls” nominated in the pop female vocal category (or whatever category it could qualify). Although never released as a single, it did receive a lot of attention and critical acclaim, and album tracks are also eligible. Just hoping for a pleasant surprise…..
