Mister D: Just wanted to let everyone know that Brian from Bettelyrics.com has started what he calls a “podcast” where he features an MP3 (Bette-related) each week. And no, you don’t need to have an iPod or even be Pod-related.
But this is different than your regular old sharing of songs. It’s like a mini-broadcast in which Brian talks about the song, gives some history, and some of his thoughts…and then the song is played. I found this to be a very original idea and really enjoyed it. Hopefully you will too….
This week’s podcast focuses on Bette’s duet with Wynonna Judd on the old Everly Brother’s hit, “Let It Be Me.” The performance came from VH1 Honors held in 1995 in which Bette was being heralded for her “clean up” efforts pre-NYRP, I believe.
I hope all this makes sense…I’m writing under the influence of heavy duty painkillers, so part of me cares that I’m understood and the other part doesn’t… 🙂 Anyway, I think you get the gist of what Brian is trying to do…if you’re a BetteHead, then I really think this will be of interest to you all. Great concept, original, and entertaining. So bravo, Mister Heck!
Love, Mister D
