Ok, I dont hate it….but I dont love it , either. Is it just me or does the lettering and blocking remind you of the poster for Isn’t she Great???? And as much as I love the shot of Bette on her knees in front of Helen, I think it just does not say anything about what the film is. Ok, my two cents, lol 🙂 Thank you for showing!

Oh my God, Andy, I saw it and instantly thought of Isn’t” She Great”! I was going to say that, but you beat me to it. 😀
I don’t particularly care for it either, but what can I say?
I found this poster a few days ago and had the same reactions. It doesn’t scream “great” to me. It doesn’t particularly make me want to rush out and see the film either.
Luckily this is the Canadian version and NOT the U.S. THINKFilm one. I wish they would hurry up. 🙂
Same reaction. However, like Jacob says, this is the Canadian version, not the US.
I was told by Ms. Lipman that the poster used here in the US was probably going to feature the men more prominently…and that the cover of the book and this poster….Bette on knees…featured more in ladies magazines and such…
I’m tired, so I hope that makes sense.
BTW Jeff, great review you did and I sure appreciate you sharing that with us…

Andy, Susan, you both must be “reading my mail” – you both took the words out of my mouth!

ThinkFilm just released the U.S. version – or at least the more women-centered one. You can see a small version on their site or download http://helenhunt.org/news/wp-content/uploads/pdf/2008_TSFM_Artwork.pdf
Jacob…thanks for posting about the US version. Much appreciated.
Love, Don
