In it’s third week, Then She Found Me expanded to 153 theaters taking in $489,000 (total gross: $912,000) with a per screen average of $3,196. As far as chart moves go, it rose from #21 to #15. Is the release going to be expanded into more cities than what is already listed, or is this it? I can’t believe the closet city to me is 2 hours away! VERY frustrating!!
Dana: Personally, I don’t know. I figure it will expand. I think they were hoping for kind of a Juno thing where demand brings it to more cities. The better it does in the cities it’s showing…more likely to hit other theatres. It’s just a small movie released in the dead heat of summer blockbusters…..which I thought was an odd choice. The budget for this movie was about 7 million. I think they are hoping the DVD will do well, plus it will come out probably around Oscar hype talk which will be great for Midler and most of the other involved.
