For some reason, although I think I know why, Bette’s CD of greatest hits has been pushed back from an August 26th to a September 23, 2008 release date.
The DVD release of “Then She Found Me” has been pushed up to September 2, 2008.
That’s the yin and yang of things….

Very cynical reason of thought I have…but it would be closer to her last run in Vegas before the New Year and therefore a great time to promote for Christmas sales. Greatest Hits collections are huge at that time of year. So it’s a better business decision.

You may be right, Mr. D. If I were Miss M and/ or her record company I’d offer a special Christmas set with Jackpot, Cool Yule and a donus DVD with a few scenes from The Showgirl Must Go On. Many would buy the set, even the ones who have already bought Cool Yule.

I really could have waited to buy the CD until Sept…why did I get it at the Caesar’s boutique?? Why??? I could have filled up my gas tank half way instead for the price I paid!! It was an impulse “gotta” have it NOW thing…oh, well…when you love Bette, what’s a few more dollars in Vegas, right??!

$26.94 incl. tax…I know, right?!! well, just know that I had a HUGE margarita in my hand at the time, that I had been sipping on for an hour!! LoL!! I am really glad I have the CD, though…it’s a nice memory of being actually there…as are those souvenir photos taken by the stage…and our seats weren’t too far from that, so it’s a wonderful thing to look at and smile…they came out FAB…
speaking of, did you go grab photos for the gallery. I can send you the link to my online albums , but there’s some on MySpace, too…I didn’t think I could download any to the gallery myself, but you are welcome to…
oh, and one reason I remember for buying the CD…I actually cried a little during the show when she sang “The Glory of Love” with that sweet, pink ukulele…I was hoping that MAYBE the same version was on the CD, but it wasn’t…and after listening (with the little headphones in the boutique), I just decided what the hell…I would LOVE a recording of her singing it acoustic like that…guess we’ll just have to wait for a “live” SHOWGIRL CD/DVD, huh??!!
