Bootleg Betty Will Be Closing October 1, 2013 after 12 years of daily devotion. I’m going to be starting graduate school this winter and have entrance exams, seminars ahead, and internships to follow, therefore I’ve decided it’s time to close shop to begin studying and easing myself into my new life. Thank you all so much for the support and friendship over the years. I hope we’ll all stay in touch. Until then I’ll keep posting!

I have been enjoying Bootleg Betty for almost 8 years and I just love to come over here and get lost rereading back posts, looking at the photos/video clips and listening to the Jukebox. You’ve done a fabulous job and I’m going to miss it, but I wish you only good things in the future as you begin this new chapter in your life.

Bootleg Betty is, and always will be, the best Bette for news, information, and all things Midler. You’ve done an outstanding job mixing the old with the new, the good press with the critics that just didn’t ‘get it’, along with fabulous photos, games, videos, music, links, inside information, quotes, surveys, events, and so much more. I’ve never known an individual to be so devoted, timely, and committed to a website (and a legend) as you have with BLB.
I know that your future will fulfill your wishes, and I want you to know that you will remain the absolute best in everything you set your mind to. Of course, we’ll miss you….but, it’s been a great ride, and I thank you for the years you’ve given me. I don’t know what my “daily fix” will be, but I’ll always be thinking about you. Best, always!! Thank you so much for the best 12years, I’ve learnt so much more about Bette from your amazing site then anywhere else. You’ve done an amazing job and I’m really gonna miss the daily Bette update and all the up to date news on Bette (shame on Bettemidler.com) they never bloody update it, anyone would think Bette done nothing for the last 4-5years (sorry little rant there!!!).
I’ll never forget you helping me get tickets to see Bette when she was in UK 2010 on the Graham Norton Show. All the best in your new life choice.
