Both would be worthy of Bette’s interpretations. Very intoxicating.
‘Save Me’ is about a woman who watched her mother slowly die for 6 months, and ‘Dream of Me’ has kind of a floating/airy Roy Orbison vibe to it, that’s also reminiscent of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Games”. Both different contemporary songs, but would be most unique for Bette.
‘The Performance’ by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, from Dame Shirley Bassey’s albu, of the same name (which is a rare work of art itself)…the song needs to be sung by an artiste of some years – and its power is in the singer’s ability to hold back and slide through it: it was made for Bette. Here’s hoping!
An acoustic version of Back to Black. 😀
Very nice!
There are two songs that I just couldn’t get out of my head after hearing:
Kristina Train’s ‘Dream of Me’
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA5lS6dDhvE
and
Bo Bruce’s ‘Save Me’

Both would be worthy of Bette’s interpretations. Very intoxicating.
